Policy details

This page describes what the app collects, why the data is processed, and how merchants can contact us about privacy.

15 sections

1. Who We Are

2. Scope

This Policy applies to information processed through the App by Shopify merchants and their authorized users.

The App is designed for Shopify merchants. In most cases, the merchant is the data controller for their store data, and we act as a service provider/processor for data processed by the App.

3. Information We Collect

We collect only the information needed to operate, secure, and support the App.

A. Merchant and store information

  • Shopify store domain (for example, storename.myshopify.com)
  • Shopify access/session tokens required to authenticate API calls
  • OAuth/session metadata (for example, scopes, token expiry, session identifiers)
  • Installation status and app configuration state

B. App configuration and operational data

  • Timer records and settings created in the App (for example, timer name, type, status, placement, schedule, style configuration, target product IDs)
  • Plan/billing state used to enforce feature access and limits
  • Usage counters (for example, monthly view counts for plan enforcement)

C. Webhook and reliability data

  • Webhook metadata used for idempotency, audit, and reliability (for example, webhook ID, topic, status, timestamps, shop domain)
  • Minimal operational logs for publish/unpublish, enforcement, and troubleshooting

D. Technical data

  • Standard technical/request metadata generated by our hosting and application infrastructure (for example, timestamps, error logs, service diagnostics)

4. How We Use Information

We process information to:

  • Provide and maintain the App
  • Authenticate merchants and secure sessions
  • Save and apply timer configurations to storefront/theme contexts
  • Enforce plans, limits, and billing-related access rules
  • Track usage needed for plan enforcement
  • Process required Shopify webhooks (including uninstall and privacy webhooks)
  • Detect/prevent abuse, fraud, and security incidents
  • Provide merchant support and troubleshoot issues
  • Comply with legal obligations

6. How We Share Information

We do not sell personal information.

We may share information with:

  • Shopify, as the commerce platform and API provider
  • Infrastructure and hosting providers used to run the App (for example, Railway and underlying cloud services)
  • Service providers that help us operate support and communications (for example, business email/helpdesk tools)
  • Authorities or regulators where required by law

All third parties are required to process data only as needed to provide their services and under appropriate confidentiality and security obligations.

7. International Data Transfers

Your information may be processed in countries other than your own. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards for cross-border data transfers (for example, contractual protections required by law).

8. Data Retention

We retain information only as long as necessary for the purposes described in this Policy, including to provide the App, maintain security, resolve disputes, and meet legal obligations.

Shopify uninstall and privacy events

When we receive applicable Shopify privacy/uninstall webhooks, we delete relevant shop-scoped application data from our systems in accordance with Shopify requirements and our retention obligations.

Where backups exist, deletion may occur on the active system first and be fully removed from backup media according to backup rotation schedules.

9. Data Security

We implement reasonable technical and organizational measures designed to protect data, including:

  • Access controls
  • Encryption in transit
  • Credential/token handling controls
  • Logging and monitoring for security/reliability events

No system is 100% secure, but we continuously work to reduce risk and protect merchant data.

10. Merchant Rights and Choices

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, object to, or port personal data.

To submit a request, contact: support@countdown-321.com

We may need to verify identity and request details before completing requests.

11. End-Customer Data Requests

The App is intended for merchants. If you are a customer of a Shopify store and have a privacy request, please contact the merchant directly first.

Where Shopify requires data handling through specific privacy webhooks (for example, data request/redact), we process those requests according to Shopify requirements.

12. California Privacy Notice (if applicable)

If you are a California resident, you may have rights under applicable California privacy laws, including rights to know, delete, and correct certain personal information, and the right to non-discrimination for exercising your rights.

We do not sell personal information and do not share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising through this App.

14. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the updated version on this page and update the “Last updated” date.
